The Department of Transportation will conduct fire training exercises at Kona International Airport for the aircraft rescue firefighters of Kona and Hilo International Airports.

They will practice from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m Tuesday through Friday. The exercise is a required annual training by the Federal Aviation Administration. It will allow firefighters to apply their response skills to a live scenario. The training may produce smoke around the facility.
