Amy Uchima

Amy Uchima, 65, of Hilo, passed away peacefully Jan. 23, 2016. Amy was born on May 20, 1950, in Hilo. She worked as a DMV clerk for the County of Hawaii.

Memorial service will be held at Ballard Family Mortuary, 570 Kinoole St. Hilo, 96720, on Feb. 27. Visitation at 11 a.m., service at noon.

She is survived by her spouse, Eugene Uchima of Hilo; sons Ryan Y. (Michelle) Uchima of Hilo and Ross Y. Uchima of Hilo; brothers, Leslie (Evelyn) Asakura of Hilo and Roland (Janice) Asakura of Maui; sister, Rose (Roger) Kawasaki of Maui; numerous nieces and nephews.

William Seguin, Jr.

William C. “Bill” Seguin, Jr., 62, of Pahoa, passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2016, at the Pohai Malama Care Center. He was born on Dec. 10, 1953, in Honolulu. He served active duty in the U.S. Air Force and later retired as a civilian from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard after 16 years of service as a metal forger.

Private services were held.

He is survived by son, Aaron A. Seguin of Oahu and Jarret K. (Ronique) Kamaka stationed in California, U.S. Navy; parents, William C. (Grace) Seguin, Sr. of Honolulu; brothers, Clyde M. Seguin of Waianae, Alvin M. (Narcissa) Seguin of Ewa Beach and Craig D. Seguin of Honolulu; sisters, Evelyn G. (James) Yong of Waianae and Shirley A.S. (Randy) Dellinger of Hilo; numerous grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

William Bolger

William M. Bolger, 60, of Hilo, passed away peacefully on Jan. 26, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. William was born on Nov. 19, 1955, in Washington. He retired as a registered nurse in a nursing home.

Private services.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert (Lara) Bolger of Washington and Charles (Karen) Bolger of Washington; sisters, Katy (Ralph) Voorhis of Keaau, Maureen Mcdowell of Ohio and Colleen (Terry) Anson of Omaha; nephews Shane and Travis Voorhis of Keaau; Nieces and numerous cousins.

Lynda Haller

Lynda Ann Haller, 73, of Laupahoehoe, passed away Feb. 6, 2016, at Pohai Malama. She was born in California on April 15, 1942. She was a retired registered nurse.

No services.

She is survived by spouse, Cliff Haller of Laupahoehoe; son, Jacky Better of Ben Lomond, Calif.; daughter, Vicky Amars of Watsonville, Calif.; two sisters, Debbie Schultz of Santa Clarita, Calif., and Lois Schultz of South Carolina; two brothers, John (Ursula) Schultz of Santa Clarita, Calif., and Joey Schultz of Bishop, Calif.; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Valarie Robertson

Valarie Ann Robertson, 69, of Kailua-Kona, was born in California on Oct. 12, 1946, and died on Feb. 4, 2016. Valarie attended Mokuaikaua Church and participated in feeding the homeless with them weekly.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by son Erik Bush of Sterling, Alaska; daughter Elaine (John) Acol of Kailua-Kona; brother Robert (Glendya) Robertson of Washington, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Kirk Steinert

Kirk Breckenridge Steinert, 67, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 28, 2016. Born Feb. 2, 1948, in Los Angeles, he was a fisherman, artist and cook.

Private services will be held.

He is survived by sons, Devin Steinert, Zane Steinert, both of Bend, Ore.; one grandchild.
