Holualoa Villages’ art galleries and shops will celebrate their monthly First Friday Art-After-Dark event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. this evening.

Along with unique hand carved and painted gourds, Ipu Arts Plus Gallery will have music from Dr. Tim and the Medicine Band on its lanai during the evening.

The pink landmark Kona Hotel will be offering local kalua pig and cabbage plates. Hotel shops Ono Designs will be presenting their line of original design island wear and Pat Pearlman Designs is spotlighting March birthstone Aquamarine, with a variety of necklaces, pendants, earrings and rings.

The Koa Realty office acrosss from the classic Kona Hotel will once again be showcasing the lively rock and roll of local favorite David Lawerance.

Artists Matt and Mary Lovein will feature artist fiber artist Shelley Hoist at their Holualoa Gallery next to the Post Office. Outside the gallery there will be treats from Kona Dogs Gourmet Street Food.

The new Glyph Art Gallery will be debuting two large curly koa framed originals by renounded Holualoa painter Shelly Maudsley White along with many new pieces by over a dozen local artists.

The Holualoa Ukulele Gallery will be presenting the remarkable inlay designed ukulele of Hilo’s Crist Pung and will host kanikapila music on the front lanai and refreshments during the Art-After-Dark event.

Free parking will be available at both the upper and lower Holualoa Village parking lots.
