Kohala ended a two game losing streak with an 8-4 victory over Honokaa on Wednesday,

Mikayla Kekoa struck out seven in a complete game performance in Kapaau, and Ryah Manning and Cheylin Imai each drove in two runs as the Cowgirls picked up a win in their first game against a Division II oponent.

Setsuko Kimura, Imai and Manning each finished with two hits for Kohala (2-2). Kekoa allowed only three hits and walked five.

Puili Hanohano and Shaylynn Hidaro drove in runs for the Dragons (2-2).

Keesha Matsuoka took the loss, allowing 10 hits and five walks with four strikeouts in six innings.

Pahoa 11, Ka’u 10

Faith Manuel-Kamakeeaina tripled and doubled and finished with three hits in Pahala. Kriya Benn also collected three hits and Tiana Kapumau pitched a complete game and finished with two hits as the Daggers (2-2) beat the Trojans for the second time this season.

Analei Emmsley hit a two-run home run for Ka’u (0-4) and finished with two hits.
