Duane Shelley

Duane Erin Shelley, 57, of Naalehu died March 28, 2016, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in San Bernadino, Calif., he was a woodworker and owner of Ka‘u Woodworks.

Friends may call at 11:30 a.m. April 8 at Naalehu United Methodist Church for a celebration of life. Casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Rosanna Shelley of Naalehu; sons, Richard Millers of Oklahoma, Duane Millers Jr. of Naalehu; daughters, Rittz Reyes of Honolulu, Sharnette Reyes of California; mother, Barbara Millers of Naalehu; brothers, Claude Castaing of Florida, Marcus Castaing of Naalehu; sisters, Kathy Logan of Kansas, Kelly Faulk of Naalehu; eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Maria Villanueva

Maria Tangonan Villanueva, 94, of Hilo died March 18, 2016, at home. Born in Makawili, Waimea, Kauai, she was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. April 8 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. prayer service. Friends may also call at 11 a.m. April 9 at Alae Cemetery for a graveside committal service. The family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

She is survived by sons, Rogelio Valenzuela of Pahoa, Rolando Valenzuela of Honolulu, Leopoldo Valenzuela of Hilo, Jaime Valenzuela of Honolulu, Jesus Valenzuela of Hilo; daughters, Alicia (Pedro) Galut of Pahoa, Mercedes Valenzuela of Hilo, Marico (Greg) Buckwalter of Washington; 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren.

Lemoto Fauhiva

Lemoto Fauhiva, 62, of Kailua-Kona, died March 28, 2016. He was born Feb. 3, 1954 in Tonga. Lemoto was a mason in construction.

Friends are welcome at 9 a.m. for viewing and 10 a.m. service April 9 at St Michaels Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona, with burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park.

He is survived by son, Toni Fauhiva of Tonga; daughters, Lani Fauhiva (Kekoa Ynigues) of Kailua-Kona, Malia Hungalu of Kailua-Kona, Fehoko (Faiki) Akaveka of Australia, and Mitna (Mosese) Taumoefolau of Tonga; brothers, Sosefo Fauhiva of Tonga, Soane Fauhiva of Lahaina, Maui, Atonio Fauhiva of New Zealand, Etuate Fauhiva of Wailuku, Maui, and Falakiko Fauhiva of Australia; sisters, Olivina Asaeli of Tonga, Katalina Fifita of Tonga, Langiake Vaiola Tuanaki of San Mateo, Calif., and Kasaline Hokafonu of Hayward, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charldyn Aina

Charldyn H. Aina, 74, of Kainaliu died March 5, 2016, at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born March 31, 1941, in Kealakekua, she was a former secretary at the Central Kona Union Church, retired secretary at the Lanakila Congregational Church and member of the Lanakila Congregational Church, Phi Beta Kappa Society, and a former member of the Kona Choral Society.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. April 9 at Lanakila Congregational Church in Kainaliu for a 9 a.m. memorial service. The family requests casual attire worn.

She is survived by sister, Geraldine (Ralph) Nishiyama of Kainaliu, one niece.

Randy Roberts

Randy Roberts, 60, of Waikoloa died Jan. 25, 2016, at home. Born April 20, 1955, in Norman Okla., he was co-founder of the former Blue Dolphin Restaurant &Music in Kawaihae.

Robert Shioji

Robert “Bob” Shigeru Shioji, 79, of Hilo died Feb. 20, 2016, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Sept. 25, 1936, in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii County elections deputy clerk, farmer and member of Hamakua and Hilo Farm Bureau.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. April 9 at Puhi Bay in Keaukaha for a celebration of life.

He is survived by son, Don Shioji of Hilo; daughter, Leilani (Timothy Young) Shioji of Hilo; brothers, George (Eva) Ahuna of Oregon, Walter (Martha) Ahuna of Hilo; sisters, Luella Aina, Wanda (Patrick) Cardines, both of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
