Students, faculty and parents took part in a project to plant indigenous plants such as papa ilia pau o hiiaka, ti and lauae fern in both the student and teacher parking lots Friday at Konawaena High School. The Earth Day volunteer effort got underway after school and took about an hour to complete thanks to the turnout.
