The Rotary Club of Kona Mauka recently recognized Jerry Tracy, artistic director for Aloha Performing Arts Company, with its Rotary Vocational Award of Professional Excellence.
At a special club meeting award presentation the club recognized Tracy’s outstanding personal and professional achievements, ethical standards, passion and commitment to our community and his vocation, and his support of the Rotary concept of Service Above Self. Through the nomination of Rotarian Ken Obenski, the club believes he exemplifies all of the qualities of who this award should go to and is truly deserving of this honor. Tracy was presented with a $1,000 check for a nonprofit organization of his choice, which he then presented to Annabelle Treacy, board chairwoman for the Aloha Performing Arts Company.
The club meets from noon to 1 p.m. every Tuesday at Teshima’s restaurant in Honalo.
