Shizue Imade

Shizue Imade, 84, of Hilo died May 18, 2016, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in the Philippines, she was a homemaker and a member of the Kurtistown Jodo Mission.

Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no monetary gifts.

She is survived by husband, Kameichi Imade of Hilo; daughter, Naomi Matsuura of Japan; son, Koji Yoshimura of Japan; brothers, Hajime Suzuki, Masami Suzuki, both of Japan; sister, Yoshi Yamada of Okinawa; Matsushi Imade of Los Angeles.

Jeffrey Inglish

Jeffrey “Bodine” E. Inglish, 62, of Ocean View died May 26, 2016. Born May 6, 1954, in Jamestown, N.D., he was a carpenter.

He is survived by partner, Carol Sawyer of Ocean View; mother, Doretta Carrion of Hayward, Calif.; two step granddaughters; brother, Tim (Sherry) Inglish of Cottonwood, Calif.; sister, Tami (John) Hollendoorn of South Dakota; four great-grandchildren, three nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Itoe Miyazono

Itoe Miyazono, 95, of Hilo, died May 15, 2016, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born n Jan. 20, 1921, in Olaa, she was a retired cashier at KTA Super Stores in Hilo and a member of the Kurtistown Jodo Mission.

Private services held.

She is survived by sons, Roy Miyazono, Allen (Shirley) Miyazono, Jerry (Florence) Miyazono, Rodney Miyazono, all of Hilo; daughter, Linda (Jerome) Mina of Kualapuu, Molokai; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Gilbert Wallace

Gilbert LeRoy Wallace, 79, of San Ramon, Calif., died April 30, 2016, in California. Born in Hilo, he was a retired electrician and member of San Francisco IBEW Local 6.

Private services were held.

He is survived by wife, Linda Kehaulani Wallace of San Ramon, Calif.; son, Gilbert (Karin) Wallace Jr. of San Ramon, Calif.; daughter, Jeanne (Greg) Gesino of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
