Non-union just as good

On reading the article about the Hualalai Kai Senior Center that is being proposed, I find it hard to believe that it has anything to do with the council, if the developer uses union labor or not.

Who are these east side council members “fearing that the developers hadn’t met with the unions?” Sounds like something is going on? Besides, everybody knows union wages push up job costs, like county projects, and the workers are no more skilled than qualified non-union workers, and they need jobs, too.
