A Puna man has been charged with two offenses for allegedly stealing one pickup truck and attempting to steal another.

On March 4, a Toyota pickup truck was stolen from the parking lot of a convenience store in Mountain View. Investigation led to the identity of the suspect as 30-year-old Christopher Lucrisia of Mountain View, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Police arrested Lucrisia on Thursday in Hilo. Further investigation determined that Lucrisia was also responsible for attempting to steal another Toyota pickup truck in Hilo on June 9, police said.

At 11:15 a.m. Thursday, he was charged with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle. His bail was set at $10,000. He remained at the cellblock until his initial court appearance on Friday.
