A Kailua-Kona woman is facing 13 charges after being found in a stolen pickup truck on Monday.

Ashley Pagan, 32, was charged Wednesday with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, promoting a dangerous drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft and eight counts of unauthorized possession of personal information after police arrested her for violating terms of her parole.

A report filed Monday with Kona Patrol officers stated a 2006 Nissan Frontier was taken from a business on Hulikoa Drive in Kailua-Kona sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.

Just before 7 p.m. Monday, an employee of the business contacted police, reporting he’d located the missing truck, which was parked in the Kealakehe subdivision. The employee detained a woman, Pagan, who he’d found sitting in the vehicle until officers arrived.

Police initially booked Pagan for a parole violation. While investigating the truck’s disappearance, police found a pipe coated with methamphetamine residue from Pagan’s possession, as well as mail from the truck belonging to several other individuals.

Pagan was taken to the cellblock leading up to her court appearance Thursday. Bail was set at $116,000.
