The second annual Tropical Inspirations Quilt Show will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 23 at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel.
Co-produced by Quilt Passions Quilt and Needlework Shop (both located in downtown Kailua-Kona) and Pieceful Designs (of Eugene, Oregon), the show will feature Hawaiian style and island-themed quilts created by local and national quilters.
The show’s special guest designer this year is Nancy Lee Chong, an expert in Hawaiian style quilting. Many of her creations will be available for viewing and she will be at the show the demonstrate this unique art form and talk story about her designs.
A vendor mall will also feature work by local artisans. Admissions is free.
