Kona Stories book store will host a release party July 30 to celebrate the newest book in the Harry Potter series, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child — Parts One and Two.”
Fans are invited to celebrate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Keauhou Shopping Center-based store. Refreshments will be served all day and games and prices will take place between noon and 2 p.m. Those wearing a costume will be entered to win a grand prize.
Based on an original new story from J.K. Rowling, “Cursed Child” is about a now-grown-up Harry and his young family. It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son, Albus, must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
