Read Aloud Shakespeare group meets
A Read Aloud Shakespeare group meets from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Keauhou.
The group will begin reading “Henry IV” Part 2. Shakespeare fans are invited to bring copies of the plays and join the group. Attendees take turns reading the parts. No previous Shakespeare or acting ability is required.

Final mayoral forum in Hilo
The League of Women Voters and American Association of University Women Hilo are sponsoring Hawaii County’s final moderated mayoral candidate forum for the year.
All 13 mayoral candidates have been invited. This event is from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aunty Sally Kaleohano’s Lu’au Hale, 799 Piilani St., Hilo. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will be streamed live by Hawaii 24/7 at hawaii247.com/live and broadcast live on KPUA Radio, 670 AM in East Hawaii.
Attendees should not wear candidate shirts or bring signs to the event.

Seniors to attend movie day
The Kailua-Kona Seniors will attend a movie day at 10 a.m. Wednesday at West Hawaii Civic Center, Building A.
The event is open to all seniors. “Trumbo” will be shown.

Chamber offers seminar on planning for retirement
The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce presents a seminar on protecting assets during an uncertain economy and planning for retirement and business succession. It is scheduled from 3-5:30 p.m. Thursday at NELHA’s Gateway Center.
Presented by Steve Savant, nationally syndicated financial columnist and TV host, the session shares how businesses can also minimize taxes. Open to the public, there will be an opportunity to meet Savant following pau hana and networking if time permits.

Wilson completes basic training
U.S. Air Force Airman Kaimimaauao W. Wilson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Wilson is the son of Kalaniakea Wilson and Celine Graham of Honolulu, and grandson of Wannetta Daryl Wilson of Kailua-Kona. He graduated in 2015 from Kealakehe High School
Mabuni makes college dean’s list
Brandt Mabuni of Kailua-Kona made the academic dean’s list at Azusa Pacific University for having a spring 2016 grade-point average of 3.5 or better. Mabuni is an international business major.
