Kona Historical Society will host a Holiday Wreath Making Jeep Trip Nov. 12 with floral designer Scott Seymour.

The 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. event will give participants a chance to create their own beautiful and natural wreath using freshly picked materials. Participants will meet in Captain Cook before heading mauka to collect items.

In addition to the items picked, all wreath-making materials will be provided. A stew lunch and hot drinks are also planned.

A four-wheel drive vehicle is required, however, members wishing to participate that don’t have such a vehicle can call KHS to determine if there is space available in another attendee’s vehicle.

Cost is $110; reservations and signed waiver must be completed no later than Nov. 7. Thereafter, the price increases to $120.

The historical society is a nonprofit organization and all proceeds go directly to educational programs and preservation projects.
