The Hawaii Food Basket and Hamakua-Kohala Health Center will host information booths on where to get a free hot meal and a bag of groceries, and share information about the upcoming National Health Center Week.
In addition, anyone can participate in a free “Lets Dough it Again! 3 Easy Ways to Save Money with Flour” workshop at the market. A talk from 10-10:30 a.m. will be followed by a hands-on cooking demo by Master baker Charlie Peshkin on how to stretch an ordinary bag of flour into the basis of many meals. Easy tortillas, pizza dough and simple breads will be prepared.
