HPM Building Supply is in the process of renovating its Luhia Street location in Kailua-Kona. Completion is slated for mid-October.

The store remains open for business from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

The multi-million renovation project begin in March and will increase the current 37,000-square-foot warehouse’s merchandising space by nearly 20 percent. The company says it will enhance the size and appeal of the pro service facilities, add a modern design center featuring cabinets and countertops and expand the moulding selection under covered storage in the drive-thru lumberyard. The shopping experience will be further improved with new shelving racks, signage, energy efficient lighting and an air conditioning system.

HPM is a Hilo-based, 95-year old building supply company doing business on Hawaii Island, Oahu and Kauai. The Kona warehouse was built in 2000.
