Halau Kalaakeakauikawekiu under the directionof Kumu Hula Kenneth “Aloha” Victor celebrates “10 Years of Aloha” on Saturday at the Makaeo Events Pavlion at Old Kona Airport in Kailua-Kona.

The afternoon will feature the voices of Sean Naauao, Robi Kahakalau, Lorna Lim, Kainani Kahaunaele, Ikaika Blackburn, Kauamakiwa Kanakaole, Chad Takatsugi and Natalie Ai Kamuu celebrating 10 years of Victor sharing his passion of Hawaiian history, culture and arts through the discipline and excellence of hula in our Kona community. Celebrity Emcee is Alakai of Mauiʻs KPOA Radio.

More than 100 dancers from Waimea, Waikoloa, Kona and Kaʻu will grace the stage with Victor’s favorite hula and presentations.

Tickets are $30, which inclues a Hawaiian plate dinner. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and tickets are available through all halau members or by calling 989-4616.

Halau Kalaakeakauikawekiu is a culture-based organization founded on the mission to heighten indigenous Hawaiian cultural awareness and participation through our educational programs and annual performances. It focuses on maintaining and perpetuating the teachings, beliefs, practices, philosophies and traditions of our culture through hula and the arts.
