KAWAIHAE – Visitors to Pelekane Beach below Puukohola Heiau were treated to cultural demonstrations at the 44th annual Ho’oku’ikahi Establishment Day Hawaiian Cultural Festival.

Whether it be making an ipu or learning to weave lauhala, listening to Hawaiian music or taking a canoe ride, there was something for everyone at the festival.

The festivities continue today from 10 am to 3 pm.
