Trask, Lindsey to vie for OHA Hawaii Island resident trustee in general election

The Nov. 8 general election will feature Mililani Trask and Bob Lindsey vying to be the Office of Hawaiian Affairs Hawaii Island resident trustee.

With all 247 precincts reporting Saturday night, Trask had garnered 65,913 votes, or 44.1 percent of votes cast, while Lindsey had received 62,713 votes, or 41.9 percent of votes cast.

In an OHA race with three or more candidates, and a majority is not reached, the top two vote-getters face off in the general election.

Bo Kahui had 20,879 votes, or 13.9 percent of votes cast.
