A woman was charged for firing a rifle toward a man in the Fern Forest subdivision of Mountain View on Monday.

A 52-year-old Mountain View man told police he arrived at his home on Ala Naualani Road that afternoon and, while opening his gate, heard a gunshot from behind. When he turned around, he saw a woman with a rifle pointed in his direction, who ran from the area.

Police identified her as Denise Slusser, 53, Mountain View, and found her at her home in the same subdivision.

At 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Slusser was charged with second-degree reckless endangering, first-degree terroristic threatening and place to keep a firearm. Her bail was set at $7,500.
