Violet Kameoka

Violet Kiyoko Ah Chin Kameoka, 78, of Hilo died Sept. 9, 2016, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Feb. 18, 1938, in Pepeekeo, she was a retired registered nurse for Hilo Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. Sept. 29 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo with a 6 p.m. celebration of life. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Casual attire and no flowers.

She is survived by husband, Kenneth Kameoka of Hilo; daughter, Keri (Alohi Vincent) Kameoka-Vincent of Hilo; sisters, Norma Tamako (Clarence) Miyamoto of Oahu, Janice (Tamiko) Tatsuhara of Hilo, Hazel Mii Lin (Tommy) Bello of Hilo and Judy Ah Chin of Papaikou; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

David Hauser

David Charles Hauser, 67 died Sept. 14, 2016. Born June 22, 1949, he was a retired police sergeant in Honokaa.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 1 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa for an 11:30 a.m. Mass. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

He is survived by wife, Libby Kaopuiki of Waikoloa; sons, Donovan (Keri) Hauser of Oahu and Kukapuouhaa (Makaleka Barros) Gunderson of Waikoloa; daughter, Davelyn (Carlos) Lopez of Honokaa; sisters, Patricia Hauser of Washington, Francis (William) Andrade of Honokaa; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Raymond Branco Jr.

Raymond “Blue” Branco Jr., 70, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 19, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born July 6, 1946, in Kealakekua, he was employed at Puu Waa Waa Ranch, a truck driver, worked for Volcanite, Shield Pacific and recently retired from West Hawaii Concrete. He was also a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Oct. 1st at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona, with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Lunch and fellowship to follow. The family requests casual attire.

He is survived by sisters, Genevieve Wong Chong of Hilo, and Louella Branco of Kailua-Kona; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Christopher Kekahuna

Christopher Kalama Kekahuna, 66, of Hilo died Aug. 15, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center.He was born May 4, 1950, in Honolulu.

He is survived by spouse, Suzanne Kekahuna of Hilo; daughters, Christine Kekahuna of Hilo, Lisa Soares of Puna; sons, Christopher Arruda of Waimea, Lionel Arruda III of Hilo; brother, Vernon Kekahuna of Utah; sisters, Loretta Wroblewski, Laverne Rodriquez, both of Hilo, Helena Hogen of Texas, Henrietta Kekahuna of Alabama; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 11 nephews; 10 nieces.

Nellie Cervantes

Nellie Cervantes, 85, of Ocean View died Sept. 13, 2016. Born May 31, 1931, in Los Angeles, she was a homemaker.
