Vladimir Lantukhov

Vladimir Lantukhov, 79, of Kealakekua died Oct. 15, 2016, in Kealakekua. Born April 14, 1937, in Stavropol, Russia, he was an oral surgeon and dentist.

Memorial services were held, with graveside services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Naalehu Community Cemetery. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

He is survived by spouse, Yevgenia Lantukhova; daughters, Galina (Yevgeniy) Vekhova of Kailua-Kona; Svetlana (Ivan) Evtimova of Pernik, Bulgaria; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Yukiko Watanabe

Yukiko Watanabe, 97, of Kealakekua died Sept. 19, 2016, at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born Aug. 19, 1919, in Kurtistown, she was an elementary school teacher.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 25 at Mililani Mortuary, Makai Chapel in Honolulu with an 11 a.m. memorial service.

She is survived by daughters, Faye (Barry) Kurren of Honolulu, Carol (Guy) Kitaoka of Kealakekua; half-brother, Keiji Tsugawa of Honolulu; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Ricardo Salinas

Ricardo “Richard” “Rich” G. Salinas, 57, of Hilo died Oct. 8, 2016, at his home. Born April 4, 1959, in Chicago, he was the owner and electrician for R &R Electric and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Oct. 26 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo with a 10 a.m. service. Burial will follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Lillian Salinas of Hilo; daughter, Luwana (Bernardo Gonzalez) Salinas of Waikoloa; sons, Richard Salinas, Richie (Savannah) Salinas, all of Hilo; hanai daughters, Laney-Rae Pau, Danielle Pau and Patricia Pau, all of Hilo; hanai son Vida Rafael of Honolulu; parents, Ruben and Maria Salinas of Houston; sisters, Angie Salinas, Mary (Chris) Perez, Leticia Schrantz and Gracie (Mark) Oberti, all of Houston; brothers, Ruben Salinas and Raul Salinas, both of Houston; five grandchildren; four hanai grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and hanai family.

Edna Carson

Edna Carson, 94, of Hilo died Sept. 9, 2016, at Life Care Center of Hilo. She was a waitress.

She is survived by sons, Tom Carson of Hilo, Richard Schuldheisz of Arkansas; five grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.

Nancy Nagai

Nancy Masako Nagai, 85, of Hilo died Oct. 1, 2016, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker, member of the Honomu Henjoji Mission and Alenaio Kumiai.

Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no monetary gifts.

She is survived by daughters, Allison (Robert) Cuison, Lei (Michael) Donohue, both of Hilo; brother, Kenneth (Estuko) Horio of Hilo; sister, Daisy (Norman) Kubuju of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren, one great-grandson, numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles Winkler

Charles “Chuck” Dale Winkler, 67, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 25, 2016, at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born July 27, 1949, in Seattle, he was a charter boat captain, commercial fisherman and a Navy Vietnam veteran.

A celebration of life will be held 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at Honokohau Boat Harbor. Contact Gabe Winkler at 557-1013 for information.

He is survived by sister, Kathleen Boleyn of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nephew, Gabriel (Angela) Winkler of Kailua-Kona.
