Erlinda Oandasan

Erlinda deCastro Oandasan, 76, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 23, 2016, in Kealakekua. Born Nov. 16, 1939, in the Philippines, she was a homemaker and a pioneer at Jehovah’s Witness church.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Kaloko Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

She is survived by sons, Henry (Liezl) Oandasan of Kahului, Maui; Jesus (Tanya) Oandasan of Waimea; Adonis Oandasan of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Rosalinda Oandasan, Magnolia (Rogene) Agatep, Madona Oandasan, Gloria (Divigio) Miralles, Maritess (Exekiel) Agatep, all of Kailua-Kona, Joan (Adrian) Granderson of San Antonio, Texas; brother Antonio deCastro of the Philippines; sisters, Yolanda deCastro Chan of Hong Kong; Elizabeth Bartolome, Christina deCastro Delacruz, Sonia deCastro, Vilma Bautista, Milagros deCastro Luz, all of the Philippines; 36 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

James Werley

James “Popps” Uncle Jim” Edward Werley, 81, of Hilo Sept. 29, 2016, at his residence. Born Sept. 11, 1935, in Detroit, he was a retired member of the U.S. Coast Guard.

A celebration of life is planned from noon to 3 p.m. at Coconut Island in Hilo. Condolences may be posted at homelanimemorialpark.com.

He is survived by son, Kimo Werley of Ocean View; daughters, Laura Ann Milar of Hilo, Iva Mata of Kailua-Kona; sister, June Bentley of Detroit; companion, Marla Masolini of Hilo; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Holly Salisbury

Holly Marie Salisbury, 37, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 17, 2016, in Kealakekua. Born July 22, 1979, in Phoenix, she was a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch.

A celebration of life service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Dec. 3 at Grace Community Church in Kailua-Kona. Donations may be made to The American Porphyria Foundation. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

She is survived by parents, Leslie and Barbara Salisbury of Kailua-Kona.

David Kaiwi

David “Kawika” Kaiwi, 74, of Waimea died Oct. 10, 2016, in Honolulu. He is retired from Surveyors Engineers Hawaii. He also was senior pastor at New Beginnings Assembly of God in Waimea.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Nov. 5 at Mana Christian Ohana (Kahilu Town Hall) with a 10 a.m. service. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Jerilyn Kaiwi; son, Christian Kaiwi; daughter, Kimberly (Stephans) Ifenuk; brother, Cornwell (Erilyn) Kaiwi ofMaui; sisters, Eva Miyahira of Maui; Maile Williams of Japan; stepson, Eddie (Edlyn) Carvalho; stepdaughter, Kamalu (Lyndon) Joaquin; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Clifford Kopp

Dr. Clifford Drew Kopp, 60, of Kailua-Kona, died Oct. 14, 2016, at the Kona Community Hospital. He was a dentist who served the community of Kona. He was a Rotarian, humanitarian, and an active community member.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Megumi Kopp of Kailua-Kona; sons, Jeremy Kopp of Kailua-Kona, and Adam Kopp of Japan; mother, Sybil Kopp of Las Vegas; sisters, Randi Kopp of New York City, and Hilary (Larry) Murphy of New Hampshire.
