Early voting for the Nov. 8 general election began Tuesday and continues through next Saturday at most Big Island polling locations. Polling locations for Hawaii County are:

Hilo

County of Hawaii Aupuni Center Conference Room

101 Pauahi Street, Suite 1

Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Kailua-Kona

West Hawaii Civic Center Community Room (Building G)

74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway

Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Waimea

Waimea Community Center

65-1260 Kawaihae Road

Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 .m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon

The Hilo, Kona and Waimea locations are open from Oct. 27 to Nov. 5.

Pahala

Pahala Community Center

96-1149 Kamani Street

Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; closed noon to 1 p.m.

The Pahala location is open from Oct. 27 to Nov. 3.

Voters can also mail in an early ballot for the election. Requests for a mail ballot must be received by the County Clerk by Nov. 1.
