Kikuye Kadahiro

Kikuye Nora Kadahiro, 92, is survived by sons, Howard (Jane), Kenneth (Esther), Glen (Beverly), Melvin; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Survivors were not provided by the mortuary in the previously published obituary.

Masako Okano

Masako Okano, 92, of Hilo, died Oct. 23, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a housewife, member of Ke Kilohana Oka Malamalama Church and had participated at the Pomaikai Senior Center and P&R Morning Fitness Program.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Nov. 4 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and flowers be omitted.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Lodge of Hilo, and Helen (Suchart) Archpru of Honolulu; son, David (Carolee) Okano of Hilo; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Yisrael Gorali

Yisrael David Gorali, 80, of Ocean View died Oct. 30, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 9, 1935, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a retired administrator for Triad Systems and a U.S. Army Vietnam era veteran. He was also an elder for the Ocean View Evangelical Community Church, a former president of the Hawaiian Ranchos Community Association, former member of the Hawaiian Ranchos Road Maintenance Corporation; and a member of the Ka’u Hospital Charitable Foundation.

A Service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 4 at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Burial will follow at the cemetery. Additional services will be held at a later date. Casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Alma Gorali of Ocean View; sons, Riegel (Tori) Gorali of California and Johngilbert Gorali of Oahu; one granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barbara Stiller

Barbara Jane Stiller, 84, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 27, 2016, in Kealakekua. Born April 9, 1932, in Clinton, Iowa, she was a Realtor, homemaker and substitute teacher. She also served as president of the Kailua-Kona Seniors, attended the Kona Seventh-Day Adventist Church and was a member of Young Republicans in her youth.

She is survived by spouse, Frank of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Stacey Stiller, Barrie Stiller and Maile Stiller, all of Haiku, Maui; brother, Richard Fenley of California; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 4 at the Kona Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

Alanaokala Covington

Alanaokala “Alana” Solomon Covington, 36, of Waimea died Oct. 19, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born July 5, 1980, in Kealakekua, he was a former field manager for Waiaka Farm and member of Mana Christian Ohana.

Visitation will be from 8-10 a.m. Nov. 5 at Imiola Congregational Church in Waimea with a 10 a.m. service.

He is survived by daughter, Puuwai Anderson of Waimea; parents, Robert and Hulali Covington of Waimea; brothers, Mauloaokala Covington of Waimea, Robert Covington Jr. of Oahu; sister, Joell Covington of Oahu; grandparents, Randolph and Flora Beamer Solomon of Waimea and Marilyn Lau of Oahu; two aunts; cousins.

Bonnie-Lynn Gaspar

Bonnie-Lynn Carin “Bon-Bon” Gaspar, 43, of Ookala died Sept. 16, 2016, at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Dec. 29, 1972, in Hilo, she was a pool attendant at King’s Land by Hilton Grand Vacation Club.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Nov. 5 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo with an 11 a.m. service. Burial will follow at the Alae Cemetery in Hilo. Casual attire is requested.

She is survived by husband, Danny Gaspar of Ookala; sons, Cameron (Kristen) Matsuo of Hilo and Dylan (Tania) Gaspar of Paauilo; daughters, Danika (Rio) Gaspar, Dynesha Gaspar, Daeleah Gaspar, all of Ookala; brothers, Moses (Michelle) Kaulukukui-Palisbo of Oahu, Darren (Sarah) Palisbo of Mountain View, Benny (Jody) Palisbo Jr. of Keaau and Lorne Palisbo of Honolulu; sisters, Donna (Kapua) Nobriga of Volcano, Beverly (Kalei) Oili, Bernie Palisbo, both of Hilo; two grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Ronald Phillips

Ronald William Phillips, 61, of Pahoa died July 6, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 4, 1954, in San Pedro, Calif., he was a machinist and an Army veteran.

A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Pahoa Community Center with military honors at 5:15. Casual attire, lei and flowers are welcomed.

He is survived by father, William Phillips of Seattle; daughter, Precious Phillips of Pahoa; sister, Lana Phillips of Lomita, Calif.; half brothers, Bill Phillips and Paul Phillips of Lomita, Calif.; hanai children, Dean Gonsalves Sr., Revlynn Gonsalves, Brittany Gonsalves, Dean Gonsalves Jr., Kingston Gonsalves, Javelin Carvalho, Joe (Annnette) Naba and Ivan (Karla) Cook, all of Pahoa; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Geraldine Ayoso

Geraldine Ilima Ayoso, 77, of Kapaau died Oct. 19, 2016, at The Queen’s Medical Center. Born Aug. 15, 1939, in Kohala, she was a retired pantry worker for the Mauna Lani Resort Gallery Restaurant and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Kohala Ward) and Kohala Senior Citizen Club.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Nov. 5 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Kohala Ward) for an 11 a.m. service. Aloha attire; burial will be at 12:30 p.m at Hawi County Cemetery.

She is survived by son, Jason (Kim) Ayoso of Gardena, Calif.; daughters, Robin (Misipati) Fiu of Kahuku, Oahu, Karen (Rafel) Cafe and Cindy (Paul III) Antonio of Kohala; brothers, Glenn Ah Sam and Ivan Ah Sam of Mililani, Oahu, Al Duane Ah Sam of Kohala and Ray Ah Sam of Honolulu; sisters, Charlene Ah Sam Caravalho of Waimea, Josette Ah Sam Cruz of Kaneohe, Oahu; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
