Florence Rabisa

Florence Yoshiko Teruya Rabisa, 72, of Hilo died Nov. 15, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a co-owner of several businesses.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. Dec. 1 at Hilo Glad Tidings Church for a 7 p.m. service. The family requests casual attire and that flowers be omitted.

She is survived by husband, Raymond Rabisa Sr. of Hilo; son, Raymond Rabisa, Jr. of Hilo; daughters, Gloria Grace of California, Raenette Kainoa of Oregon, Betty Kapahua, Shaylyn Rabisa, both of Hilo; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Catalina Gamayo

Catalina L. Gamayo, 98, of Kurtistown died Nov. 17, 2016, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Nov. 25, 1917, in Cebu, Philippines, she was a homemaker, had also worked at various farms, and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. Dec. 2 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Alae Cemetery Section K. The family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by children, Helen (Peet) Nelson, Judy (Herman) Cullio, Dolly (Jerry) Veloria, Arlene Aranita, Melton (Terry) Gamayo, Teresa (Melvin) Gapol, Ann (Phillip) Mejia, Selene (Sam) DeSilva; brother, Salvador (Josephine) Lagronio; 20 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Yoshinori Nishi

Yoshinori Nishi, 82, of Hilo died Nov. 11, 2016, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Sept. 24, 1934, in Ookala, he was a retired diesel mechanic for HT&T, a member of the Berean Bible Church, and an Army veteran.

A visitation will take place from 9-9:30 a.m. Dec. 2 at Berean Bible Church with a 9:30 a.m. service. An urn burial will follow noon at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire.

He is survived by half-brother, George (Jessie) Sanborn of Hilo; half-sister, Diane (Daniel) Santos of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Skyler Maltezo-Ogata

Skyler Keitaro Haaheokainoaowaihee Maltezo-Ogata, 18, of Hilo died Oct. 31, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born May 2, 1998, in Hilo, he was a graduate of Lanakila Learning Center and Hilo High School class of 2016 and a volunteer for the Boys &Girls Club and a Hilo High Basketball and Football Alumnus.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 2 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo with a 7 p.m. wake service. Visitation will continue from 8-10 a.m. Dec. 3 at the mortuary with a 10 a.m. funeral service. Cremation will follow. Casual attire.

He is survived by mother, Crystal Ogata of Hilo; father, Brian Maltezo of Honokaa; sisters, Shani Ogata, Keana Mateo, and Raesha (Matt) Morett, all of Hilo, Mia Maltezo of Pepeekeo; brothers, Kayden Maltezo of Pepeekeo, Cody (Ciana) Morett of Las Vegas, Donovan Morett, Poai (Mandy) Ferreira, and Rheiyn Tolentino, all of Hilo; grandparents, Cindy Ganon of Hilo, Stanford Ogata of Pepeekeo and Rodante and Romana Maltezo of Honokaa; one niece; one nephew; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Reid Takayama

Reid Shigeki Takayama, 63, of Hilo died Nov. 3, 2016, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, he was a retired carpenter/foreman with Local 745, and Isemoto Contracting and a lecturer with the University of Hawaii and Hawaii Community College with the Carpenters apprenticeship program. He was also a volunteer with the Pacific Islands Fisheries Group and Hilo Trollers.

Friends may call from 4:30-6 p.m. Dec. 2 at Wailoa State Park, Pavilion 2 for a 6 p.m. celebration of life. The family requests casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Debbie Kae Takayama of Hilo; stepson, Douglas Vera Cruz Jr. of Kona; stepdaughter, Corrin Vera Cruz of Oregon; brother, Hal (Soon Shim) Takayama of Hilo; sisters, Diane (Derrick) Shiro, Gwen (Wade) Kitamura, all of Hilo, mother, Dorothy Talbot of Hilo; hanai brothers, Richard (Cathy Thompson) Kihara of Hilo, Mike (Kristin) Jervis of California; hanai sisters, Claudia Steffen of Kona, Jerelyn Hammer of Hilo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Glennis Clements

Glennis Sayers Clements, 94, of Captain Cook died Nov. 18, 2016, at her residence. Born Oct. 5, 1922, in Wichita, Kansas, she was a graphic arts illustrator, a civil service employee at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, Calif., in Civil Air Patrol in California and a commercial sign painter. She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 3 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Keei Ward for a 10:30 a.m. funeral service. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Keei. The family requests casual attire.

She is survived by son, Damon (Moli) Clements of Captain Cook; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a niece and nephew.

Shannon Corpus

Shannon Garth Corpus, 48, of Hilo died Nov. 4, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. He was born April 8, 1968, in Hawaii.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at Reeds Bay.

He is survived by son, Brandon (Jessica) Ahuna; mother: Anna Corpus; sister, Annalee Muranaka; brothers, Cliff Amalato and Garrett Corpus; one granddaughter; one grandson.

Michitaka Nakamoto

Michitaka Sakata Nakamoto, 92, of Keaau died Nov. 20, 2016, at Hospice of Hilo, Pohai Malama Care Center. Born June 27, 1924, in Pahala, he was an Army veteran and retired as a carpenter for the County of Hawaii, Department of Public Works.

Private services.

He is survived by sons , Michitaka (Dallas) Nakamoto of Wailuku, Maui, Michiaki (Cobey) Nakamoto of Waimea, Mitsuo (Elise) Nakamoto, Michiwo (Susan) Nakamoto, Saneyuki (Kelley) Nakamoto, all of Hilo; daughters, Hayako Sarme, Yoshiko (George) Baltazar, all of Hilo; brother, Saneyuki Nakamoto of Baltimore, Md.; 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
