Ornaments were crafted by artists from West Hawaii Exploratory Academy and Donkey Mill Art Center.

Lanihau Center will also host a holiday celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 10. That event includes photos with Santa and his friends, a craft fair, entertainment and the annual KWXX Treasure Chest giveaway.

Movie showing planned at Dragonfly Ranch

Dragonfly Ranch: Healing Arts Center will show the film “Life After Life,” featuring Dr. Raymond Moody. The filmmaker, Peter Shockey, will present the film with a behind the scenes discussion afterward. The one-hour movie will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. This event is free. Videos will be available for purchase.

Visiting the island from Nashville, Tennessee, Shockey, who has been making movies for 45 years, will give an introduction to the award-winning movie he made following his father’s death. He will be available to answer questions after the movie showing.

Made in 1991, the film creates awareness of death not being the end from people who experience their own death and then return to life.
