School evacuation drill could delay traffic

Ehunuikaimalino, Konawaena High School and Konawaena Middle School will conduct an off campus evacuation drill across the highway to the elementary school at 8:30 on Friday. Police will assist with traffic. There will be some delays.

Advocats seeks volunteers

Advocats is seeking participants to march with the organization in the Kona Christmas parade Saturday. To participate, call Nancy, 329-4337.

The nonprofit also invites the public to view its entry in the Mauna Lani Hotel Charity Trees contest. A virtual tree is posted at advocatshawaii.org.

AdvoCats is a Hawaii County endorsed nonprofit trap-neuter-return organization, committed to solving the homeless cat issue in a humane way. West Hawaii Woodturners meet

West Hawaii Woodturners meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at former Pac Rim Glass Building in Kohanaiki Industrial Area. Attendees should bring lunch and a chair. Visitors are welcome.
