A single family, one-story wooden structure unpermitted structure burned Wednesday morning.

The approximately 30-foot by 30-foot uninsured structured suffered $40,000 in damages, according to the Hawaii Fire Department. No one was injured and a male resident was unaccounted for in the 4:47 a.m. blaze on 29th Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park.

Red Cross was requested for assistance for a 35-year-old female resident.

The fire was extinguished at 5:38 a.m.
