Agreed, fireworks simply too much

I know Steve Snyder well, and we’ve been living as nearby neighbors in adjacent subdivisions. I was out on my deck on New Year’s not celebrating, but protecting my property from going up in flames. I have to do this every year since I moved in, 33 years ago.

The only legal fireworks I saw and heard were firecrackers. Everything else were lethal bombs — similar to concussion grenades, but in rocket form.

Every year it gets worse because of the “Jones’s Effect.” That is, “I’ll show the Jones’s I can do better than them next year.”

I’m not kidding.

Sunday and Monday, after the “war started,” some idiots thought it would be funny to shoot off some more at night. One neighbor was out shouting at them.

I pray karma will one day pay them back seven-fold.
