Kamilo Fale’ofa

Kamilo Vaoloa Fale’ofa, 80, of Holualoa died Feb. 14 2017, at his residence. Born July 12, 1936, in Kolonga, Tonga, he was a coffee farm supervisor and cattle rancher. He was a member of Melino Moe Fetokoniaki and St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona. A Mass will also be at 9 a.m. Feb. 24 at the church, with burial to follow at the Holualoa Catholic Cemetery. The family requests casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Sinouvi Fale’ofa of Holualoa; sons, Fakaosifono Fale’ofa of Kailua-Kona, Vave Fale’ofa of Hilo, Daniel (Sharrise) Fale’ofa and Samiu (Loreal) Fale’ofa, all of Kailua-Kona, Tevita (Lini) Fale’ofa of Lahania, Maui; brothers, Tuituu (Siulua) Fale’ofa of Palo Alto, Calif., Sione Fale’ofa of New Zealand; sister, Sosefina (Manitisa) Tu’akalau of Tonga; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charles Ontiveros

Charles Ontiveros, 76, of Pahoa died Feb. 9, 2017. He was born in Kukaiau.

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Feb. 26 at Ballard Family Mortuary Hilo with a 6 p.m. service. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Feb. 27 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery II. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

He is survived by son, John (Shonnalee) Ontiveros of Kealakekua; daughter, Ursula (Sheye) Nihau of Kailua-Kona; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Roland Amaral Sr.

Roland Alexander Amaral, Sr., 66, of Keaau died Feb. 13, 2017, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born March 4, 1950, in Hilo, he was a retired heavy equipment mechanic for the Ka’u Agribusiness and a member of the Heritage Christian Fellowship in Hilo.

Friends may call from 5-6 p.m. Feb. 27 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo for a 6 p.m. service. Cremation will follow at Dodo Mortuary crematory. Scattering of ashes will be at 11 a.m. March 4 at Pohiki Beach. Casual attire and flowers are welcomed.

He is survived by wife, Paulette Amaral of Keaau; sons, Lesley Lerma Jr., Allan (Tasha) Amaral, Manuel (Chi-Ashley) Amaral of Keaau and Joseph (Tatiana) Felix of Hilo, Roland (Jeannie) Amaral Jr., of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Heather (Damon) Johnson of Honolulu; brother, Robert (Neenah) Amaral of California; sisters, Sharon (Charles) Cabral of Hilo and Virgie McAfee of Washington; 12 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.

Lucio Marcus Dela Cruz, 61, of Kurtistown, died on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu.

He is survived by his wife, Tyra Dela Cruz; son Tycio (Savanna Martinez) Dela Cruz; daughter Kylie Corea; brothers, Eugene (Jade) Dela Cruz, Anthony (Edie) Dela Cruz and John (Carol) Dela Cruz; sisters, Lillian (Freddie) Nobriga, Cheron Dela Cruz, Haunani Botelho and Vivian (Mario) Derego; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
