Christians around the world celebrated Ash Wednesday, the start of Lenten Season, by getting an ash cross placed on their forehead to remind them to repent and follow the Gospels.

Lenten Season marks 40 days from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday, which Christians observe by repenting from sins and practicing self-denial in preparation for the holiday that symbolizes the cornerstone of the faith, Jesus’s crucifixion and resurrection.
