Thousands of dollars of property stolen from Paauilo home

PAAUILO — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating thousands of dollars worth of stolen property from a residential burglary last year.

Sometime between May and November 2016, approximately $42,000 worth of silver, jewelry, electronics, tools and sporting goods were taken from a residence in the Paauilo area of the Hamakua coast. Two vehicles were also reported stolen, said Det. Dean Uyetake with the Hawaii Police Department from Hamakua patrol.

Items taken were:

• One-fourth pound of coins that are .999 silver

• Jewelry that includes two rings, a necklace and loose jade

• An iPhone 3

• Sony laptop

• Sony television

• Two sets of golf clubs

• Air rifle

• Crossbow

• John Deere riding mower

• Aluminum ramps (to load riding lawn mower)

• Power drill

• Leaf blower

• Circular saw

• Weed eaters

• Chainsaws

• Herbicide

Uyetake said there are currently no leads at this time.
