Kona hospital auxiliary meets

Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary will hold its monthly board meeting at 12:30 p.m. Monda in Conference Room 1. All members and persons interested in becoming volunteers are invited.

The auxiliary invites the public to stop by the hospital gift shop or its bake sale held Friday mornings at the hospital. Both raise funds for nursing scholarships.

Trunk Trainers hosts monthly networking event

The public is invited to the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce’s networking event, AfterHours, hosted by Trunk Trainers from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at 73-5619 Kauhola St. Suite 206 in the Hale Kui Plaza in the Kaloko Light Industrial Area.

A tapas bar and refreshments including beer, wine, smoothies and kombucha will be served. Attendees will get a chance to win door prizes including gym memberships, class passes and personal training at Trunk Trainers.

The pau hana networking event occurs on the third Wednesday of every month. General admission is $30, or $15 for Chamber members and first-time nonmembers.

Applicants sought to serve on Disciplinary Board of the Hawaii Supreme Court

The Nominating Committee of the Hawaii Supreme Court is seeking qualified applicants to serve on the Hawaii Supreme Court Disciplinary Board. Four attorney and two nonattorney board positions are expected to be available. Applicants from all islands are invited to apply.

The term of each position is three years, beginning July 1. These positions are not compensated; however, expenses to attend board meetings are reimbursed.

The Hawaii Supreme Court Disciplinary Board oversees the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, which investigates allegations of attorney misconduct and incapacity, and recommends appropriate action to the Hawaii Supreme Court to effectuate the purposes of its Disciplinary Rules.
