A company says it is owed $545,145 for services it provided Jas W. Glover and a subcontractor during construction of a new container yard at Hilo harbor.

General Supply & Services Inc. filed the lawsuit March 9 in Hilo Circuit Court.

The lawsuit names Glover; Leleiwi Electric, the subcontractor; Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America; and the state Department of Transportation as defendants.

The plaintiff, which does business as GEXPRO, says it is a wholesale distributor of electrical and Datacom supplies.

The amount owed includes the remaining principal for materials provided for the project, the lawsuit says. The plaintiff also seeks interest on the unpaid amount.

DOT hired Glover as the project’s general contractor in 2009, according to the lawsuit.

Glover couldn’t be immediately reached for comment. DOT referred comment to the state attorney general’s office, which didn’t respond by deadline. Leleiwi Electric declined to comment.
