BIIF softball: Uemura, Bates no-hit Pahoa, Wildcats win 23-0

Konawaena pitchers Andi Uemura and Erin Kaimuloa Bates combined for a no-hitter in the Wildcats’ 23-0, three-inning victory over Pahoa Wednesday evening.

Uemura started the game, striking out one and walking one in two innings of work. Bates threw the final inning. Kamalani Noll took the loss for the Daggers. She allowed only four earned runs over three innings, spreading out 12 hits and walking five.

Kaylyn Villanueva and Sierra Amor led the Konawaena offense with two hits apiece. Villanueva had a single and a double, with three runs scored and six RBIs. Amor dashed around the bases for a pair of triples, scoring once and knocking in seven.

Pahoa struggled defensively with seven errors. The Wildcats scored the majority of their runs in the first inning, pushing 13 runners across the plate. They scored five in the second and another five in the top of the third.
