Community Sunrise service Sunday
All are invited to the Kona Community Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. Sunday on the sports field at Old Kona Airport Park.
The Kona Minister’s Fellowship will sponsor the 36th annual all-church gathering. There will be worship led by pastors, an all church hula and a children’s message around the theme “He Makes All Things New.” Attendees should bring a mat or chair. Seating is limited. There is no cost.
Food Addicts in Recovery meeting planned
Food Addicts in Recovery will hold an introductory meeting at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 77-165 Lako St. in Kona.
The program is based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Typically, members have tried multiple solutions to their problems with food. At In Food Addicts in Recovery, members have finally found an answer that works and is long term.
There are no dues, fees or weigh-ins.
