HONOLULU (AP) — Vice President Mike Pence is thanking members of the U.S. military in Hawaii for their service “in these uncertain times” in the Asia-Pacific.

Pence was speaking with service members during a lunch at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii.

The visit comes at the end of the vice president’s 10-day trip to Asia, which included a visit to the Demilitarized Zone separating North and South Korea and meetings in South Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Australia.

Pence is postponing a planned visit to the USS Arizona memorial Tuesday to return to Washington for what’s expected to be a busy week on Capitol Hill.
