Faye Cawagas

Faye P. Cawagas, 67, of Honokaa died May 6, 2017, at the Oregon Health &Science University in Portland, Ore. Born in Honolulu, she was a pro golf shop sales clerk at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. She was also a member of the Honokaa United Methodist Church

Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. May 27 at the Honokaa United Methodist Church for a 10 a.m. service. The family requests casual attire and that flowers be omitted.

She is survived by husband, Antonio Cawagas of Honokaa; son, Antonio Cawagas Jr. of Oahu; daughters, Cara (Kellen) Cawagas of Oahu, Leah (Shane) Cawagas of Honokaa; brothers, Randall Francisco of Kauai and Ruebin (Cynthia) Francisco of Oahu; sisters, Jasmine (Eddie) Asato of Oahu, Arleen (Richard) Kohnke of Portland, Ore., Pearla (Jay) Tsukayama of Oahu; three grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Candido Duldulao

Candido Mamuad Duldulao, 90, of Mark Twain, Naalehu died April 1, 2017, at the Ka‘u Hospital. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired macadamia nut picker for MacFarms of Hawaii and a former coffee farmer and rancher in the Philippines.

Friends may call from 8–10 a.m. May 27 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 9 a.m. service. Burial will follow at the Naalehu Community Cemetery. Casual attire.

He is survived by son, Cesar Duldulao of Naalehu; daughters, Maria (Sammuel) Flores of Naalehu, Lolita (Gary Sr.) Strange of Texas; brothers, Albert (Carina) Duldulao Sr. of Hilo, Rudy (Catalina) Duldulao of Kurtistown, Juana (Gregorio) Longboy of Honolulu; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.

Melanio Tabil Sr.

Melanio Tabil Sr., 84, of Kailua-Kona died April 20, 2017. Born April 26, 1932, in Honokaa, he was a retired fisherman.

Celebration of life will be held at 8:30 a.m. May 27 at Honokohau Harbor club house.

He is survived by sons; Mario (Patricia) Tabil, Melanio (Amy) Tabil Jr., Wesley (Roxanne) Tabil and Michael (Nicole) Tabil, daughters; Pamela (Terrence) Cablay, Clara (Michael) Demattos, Giget (Martin) Esteban, Michelle (Allan) Liftee and Sabrina (Nik) Tabil-Slavik; sister, Irene Uemura; 31 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Gordon Gaspar

Gordon Terry Gaspar, 66, of Hilo died May 2, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 13, 1950, in Honolulu, he was an assistant baker for the former Hilo Macaroni Factory and a former cook for Atebara Chips. He was also a member of the Salvation Army Hilo Temple Corp and a soldier and volunteer for the Salvation Army.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. May 27 at the Salvation Army Hilo Temple Corps. Casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Cassandra Sandy Cordeiro-Gaspar; sons, Ricardo (Nohelani) Cordeiro and Elliot Kaimi; daughters, Lieselotte Cordeiro and Catherine Gouveia; hanai parents, John and Jeanette Gouveia; many hanai children; 13 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Paul Ah Yee

Paul Leialoha Ah Yee, 72, of Naalehu died April 19, 2017. Born April 6, 1945, in Pahala, he was a retired supervisor for Mauna Loa Orchard Inc.

Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. June 3 at Naalehu Assembly of God with a service from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow from 11 a.m. to noon at Naalehu Community Cemetery.

He is survived by daughter, Cynthia (Donovan) Emmsley; brothers, Raphael (Virginia) Ah Yee, Francis (Mardell) Ah Yee and Sylvester (Martha) Ah Yee,; five grandchildren.

Liliyana Guevara

Liliyana Rosemarie Guevara, stillborn, of Keaau died May 8, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Survived by parents, Brandon Guevara and Sunshine Woodford of Keaau; grandparents, Corinne Moses of Keaau, Deborah Woodford of Hanalei, Maui and Richard Woodford of Arizona; aunts, Braedon Guevara of Keaau and Brianne Moses of Keaau; uncles, Namon Moses of Keaau and Robert Woodford of Chicago; numerous cousins.
