Senior ID cards issued

The Coordinated Services of the Elderly Program of the Elderly Activities Division issues Senior ID cards for those age 60 or older Monday through Friday at the Aging and Disability Resource Center in Hilo.

Cards will be issued from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Kohala Coordinated Services of the Elderly, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Kailua-Kona Kmart and from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at the Hale Hauoli Senior Center in Honokaa. Cards will also be issued from 9-11 a.m. June 13 at L. Yoshimatsu Senior Center in Waimea, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 13 at the Kailua-Kona Walmart, from 9-11 a.m. June 19 at St. Jude’s Church in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 28 at the West Hawaii Civic Center, Building B.

Free kupuna and caregiver talk story planned

West Hawaii Mediation Center and Attorney Donna V. Payesko of Ohana Legacy Law present a free talk story on kupuna and their caregivers from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at West Hawaii Civic Center, Building G.

Topics of discussion include understanding the mediation process, common areas of conflict between caregivers and kupuna 60 years old and older, how to get help or get involved and elder law issues.

Senior Roundtable Hui holds last meeting

The final meeting of the Senior Roundtable Hui will be from 1:30-3 p.m. Tuesday at Pink Mocha Cafe, just mauka of Home Depot.

The topic will be customer service for elder clients and a hui hou. Why is it important to understand elder clients’ needs? How is customer service different for older clients? What do we need to know? Also, the group will reflect on this last meeting of the Senior Roundtable Hui and subjects past and needs present.

The format will be interactive and all age groups are invited. There is no charge, other than if purchasing a coffee of tea. Parking is easy access and free.

Freemasons meet

The monthly Stated Meeting of Kona Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons will be held on Wednesday at the Kona Masonic Center, 73-5577 Kauhola St., Suite 7, Kailua-Kona.

Dinner begins at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Dessert will be available after the meeting.

All members of the craft area are invited to the dinner and meeting.
