Quarterback Marcus Mariota predicted, “I’ll be ready to go, I’ll be 100 percent” when the Tennessee Titans open training camp next month.

The Titans wrapped up 10-days of organized team activities today in Nashville, Tenn. and Mariota told reporters, “I feel good. My body is getting to the point where it is close to 100 percent and, once training camp rolls around, I’ll be good to go.”

Mariota, who suffered a fractured right fibula in the Titans’ final regular season game, underwent surgery in December in which a plate was inserted.

At the time his availability for OTAs and ability to participate was up in the air. But during OTAs he has been able to participate in 7-on-7 and team drills.

Training camp is scheduled to open in Nashville in late July.

In the interim, head coach Mike Mularkey said the Titans won’t push Mariota next week in minicamp. “I think, ‘Why now?’ He’ll be ready when we come back for camp, and we’ll have plenty of time in camp,” Mularkey said. “We’ll have a lot of practices. He won’t be on the injury list when he comes back, so I don’t know why (we’d) push it, especially in June.”

“I get excited,” Mariota said of the prospect of training camp. “Even during this time of the year in OTAs, just being back on the field again, it is a lot of fun. I get excited for camp, I get anxious.”

Mariota said, “Even during this time of year during the summer it is hard to kind of get your mind off of it because it is really just around the corner. I get excited, and I can’t wait for camp.”
