Book club to discuss ‘The Path Between the Seas’

The Friends of the Libraries, Kona Book Club meets at 11 a.m. Tuesday on the Kailua-Kona Public Library lanai to discuss “The Path Between the Seas” by David McCullough.

“The Path Between the Seas” is the story of the development of the Panama Canal from the late 19th century under the French until its opening in 1913 under the Americans. The story is a testament to man’s ability to accomplish the near impossible.

In July, the club will meet to discuss “Madame Secretary: A Memoir” by Madeline Albright.
