William Kahakua Sr.
William Kaohu Kahakua Sr., 89, of Mountain View died June 10, 2017. He was born Jan. 31, 1928, in Ka’u.

He is survived by wife, Thelma Kahakua; sons, William (Pamela) Kahakua Sr., Paul (Barbra) Kahakua and George Kahakua Sr.; daughter, Laurie (Michael) Ignacio; brothers, James (Nora) Kahakua, Herbert (Karen) Kahakua and Frank (Rita) Duran; sisters, Julia Amaral, Gladis Wilson, Elizabeth (Chris) Asuncion, Elenore Kepner and Lily (Gene) Mariaga, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Douglas Kekaualua
Douglas Dean “Ricky” Kahalepea Kekaualua, 59, of Hilo died May 14, 2017, at the Straub Clinic and Hospital on Oahu. Born in Hilo, he was a professional musician and entertainer with the group Kolea. He was also a member of the Hui Waa O Waiakea Canoe Club.
Friends may call from 9-10:30 a.m. June 23 at the Hilo Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for an 11 a.m. service, followed by burial at the Homelani Memorial Park. The family requests casual attire.

Bryan Suzuki
Bryan Masao Suzuki, 56, of Hilo died May 28, 2017, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was the proprietor for the former Midori’s Okazuya, former waiter at The Seaside Restaurant and a waiter at Imari’s and Big Island Breakfast at the Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort and member of ILWU Local 142.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. June 23 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 5 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by mother, Midori Suzuki of Hilo; sister, Gwen (Robert) Shirai of Hilo; brother, Keith (Amy) Suzuki of Hilo; niece, Katelyn Shirai; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Marguerite Krieg
Marguerite “Guiguite” Marie Krieg, 90, of Kailua-Kona died June 11, 2017, at her residence. Born Feb. 26, 1927, in Lausanne, Switzerland, she was a retired sales associate for the former Liberty House, a former French teacher for St. Anthony’s Catholic School, private governess and a registered nurse.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. June 24 at the family residence, 73-4265 Mamalahoa Highway. Family requests casual attire be worn. For information, call 325-7492.
She is survived by husband, Karl Krieg; sons, Eric Krieg, Alex (Debbie) Krieg, all of Kailua-Kona; brother, John (Mary) Metrailler of Toronto, Canada; two granddaughters.

Ku’upuamakamae Swain
Ku’upuamakamae “Pua” Sabra Ling Sing Swain, 41, of Keaukaha died June 8, 2017, in Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was the owner of Big Island Bites and Ka’u Gold Honey. She volunteered for many organizations, including Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Hakalau Bay Paka.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. June 24 at Leleiwi Beach. Flowers welcomed.
She is survived by daughter, Kaiao Shine; mother, Donna Leong; brother, Lani (Toni) Swain; sisters, Ka’aka (Matt) Swain and Ke’ala (Thomas) Baker; Pat Shine; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Locadia Young
Locadia Pua’ala Young, 76, of Waimea died May 9, 2017, at the North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Kakaako, Oahu, she was a retired housekeeper at Hawaii Preparatory Academy, worked at the Waimea Chevron and was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 8:30–10 a.m. June 24 at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea for a 10 a.m. prayer service. Burial to follow at the Waimea Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire and lei are welcome.
She is survived by daughter, Elaine-Lou Young of Waimea; brothers, Woodrow (Erlinda) Young, Ronald Young, Wardell Young, all of Waimea; sister, Yvonne (Jacinth) DeLuz of Waimea; numerous nieces and nephews.
