A fire tanker was parked on Hina Lani Street and Ane Keohokalole Highway in North Kona Saturday morning.
The water trucks were standing by in the event of a fire because of an emergency water restriction in effect for the area. The water contained within the tanker is nonpotable.
Drinking water spigots are available at two locations on Ane Keohokalole Highway and Hina Lani Street.
The Department of Water Supply continues to restrict water use to health and safety needs only, with an irrigation prohibition.
