Crisencia Palma

Crisencia, also known as Cresencia Malinao, Palma, 89, of Hilo, died June 26, 2017, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born June 15, 1928, in Hilo, she was a homemaker and member of New Hope Hilo.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. on July 28, 2017, at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. The family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcomed. A graveside service and burial will be held at 10 a.m. on July 29 at Alae Cemetery (Section I).

She is survived by sons, Rogelio Palma, of Hawaiian Beaches, Christo Palma, of Pepeekeo, and Robin (Winnie) Palma, of Keaau; sisters, Rosita Padayao, of Honolulu, and Dolores Cainglit, of Hilo; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ramona McPherson

Ramona Marie McPherson, 80, of Pahoa, died July 16, 2017, at her residence. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. on July 28 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. The family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by son, Raymond McPherson, of Pahoa; daughter, Lisa (Lesley) Wallace, of Keaau; brothers, Joseph Andrews, of Kahului, Maui, LeRoy Andrews, of Hilo, and Lawrence (Kay) Andrews, of Keaau; sister, Colette (Per) Tyrin, of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

David Mokiao Jr.

David H. Mokiao Jr., 52, of Kaneohe, Oahu, died June 11, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. He was born Aug. 30, 1964, in Honolulu.

He is survived by daughters, Victoria Mokiao, Nicole Pualani Mokiao, Sara Rochele Burgo, and Tazarae Barques; son, Harrison Mokiao; brothers Dale Mokiao, Dana Mokiao and Daniel Mokiao; one grandchild.

Robert Rathbun

Robert Rathbun, 80, of Pahoa, died June 27, 2017, in Pahoa. He was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Colorado.

He is survived by sons, Jon Rathbun and Chris Rathbun; daughter, Heather Pelletier; brother, Bill Rathbun; sister Terry Rose; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Arleen Kitagawa

Arleen Akie Kitagawa, 60, of Hilo and formerly of Honolulu, died July 1, 2017, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired technician II with the County of Hawaii Department of Human Resources and a part-time payroll and accounts clerk for Nursery Things Inc.

Private family services were held.

She is survived by husband, Clifford Kitagawa, of Hilo; sister, Rae (Gregory) Zane, of Pepeekeo; several nieces and nephews.
