Primal Cuts receives Certified Animal Welfare Approved distinction

As the first farm in Hawaii to be awarded top animal welfare and grass-fed certification, Primal Cuts in Kapaau uses sustainable agriculture methods with their sheep and pasture-raised beef cattle. Approved by A Greener World recently, the farm is one of a portfolio of leading farm certifications to let consumers know animals are raised outdoors on pasture or range for the highest animal welfare standards in the U.S. and Canada, using sustainable agriculture methods on an independent family farm.

Consumer Reports acknowledges Animal Welfare Approved as the only “highly meaningful” label for farm animal welfare, outdoor access and sustainability. Primal Cuts’ certified grass-fed lamb is served at at Red Water Café and sold directly by the farm.
