Edward Galen Gali, 66, of Puna, died July 19, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born May 6, 1951, in Pahala, he was retired.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. on Aug. 11 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6 p.m. service. The family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Rosanna Gali, of Puna; son, Edward (Andrew) Gali, Jr., of Seattle; daughters, Raquel (David) Gali, of Mountain View, and Kanani (Keola) Rivera and Alana (Marlon) Gali, both of Puna; brothers, Lawrence Gamurot, of Maui, Walker (Flora) Gali, of Kona, and Freddy Gali, of Ocean View; sisters, Maxima (Thomas) Brockmiller, of Ocean View, Valerie (Martin) Gali and Betty Ann (Julian) Beck, both of Naalehu, and Suzette (Jeff) Fuerte, of Kona; five grandchildren; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Marilyn Kamakawiwoole

Marilyn Benevides Kamakawiwoole, 68, of Hilo, died July 16, 2017, in Hilo. Born May 13, 1949, in Hilo, she was a retired clerk for the state and supervisor at American Savings Bank in Waimea.

Friends may call at 3 p.m. on Aug. 11 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa for a 5 p.m. Mass. Flowers are welcome.

She is survived by sons, Travis (Gabrielle) Kamakawiwoole and Troy (Annie) Kamakawiwoole; daughter, Trisha (Kekoa) Sylva; six granddaughters and five grandsons.

Donald Pua Sr.

Donald Maiwa Pua Sr., 76, of Keei Beach, died July 23, 2017, at his residence. Born Sept. 1, 1940, in Pahala, he was a retired security guard at Hokulia Properties, commercial driver’s licenses issuer, heavy equipment operator for Glover Construction Co., Kahuku Ranch ranch hand, bus driver for Jack’s Tours, member of Senior Citizen Softball League Kona Gold and Kona Warriors softball teams, Kupuna Bowling League, Royal Order of Kamehameha, Ahahui Kaahumanu Chapter 5 musician and Kahikolu Congregational Church, member of the Hawaii National Guard and U.S. Army veteran.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. on Aug. 11 at Kahikolu Congregational Church in Napoopoo for a wake service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. on Aug. 12 for a 9 a.m. funeral service.

He is survived by wife, Constance Pua, of Keei Beach; sons, Donald (Chrissy) Pua Jr. and Thomas (Adriana) Pua, both of Honaunau; daughters, Stephanie (Herman) Kihe, of Ocean View, Meloney (Edward) Kawaauhau, of Captain Cook, Corinna Estabilio, of Nanawale, and Tessie (Tovaega) Uulopa, of Hookena; brother, Gene Pua, of Holualoa; 28 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; numerous hanai children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tate Robinson

Tate “Robbie” Robinson, 69, died July 9, 2017, at his residence in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Born Dec. 10, 1947, in Honolulu, he was a former VP operations manager for Hawaiian Natural Water Co. and a water consultant for several major water bottling companies in Hawaii.

Friends may call at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 11 at Elks Lodge 616 for services. The family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers should be omitted.

He is survived by wife, Jenis; daughter, Whitney; sons, Christian and Daniel; and granddaughter, Meleana.

Micaila-Lynn Tellio

Micaila-Lynn Hiwahiwa Tellio, 22, of Hilo, died July 18, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 6, 1994, in Hilo, she was a hostess at Miyo’s and a former floor attendant for Regal Cinemas.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. on Aug. 11 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery, Section I. The family requests casual attire be worn and that flowers be omitted.

She is survived by, fiancé, Bryan Jay Ranchez, of Pepeekeo; sons, Kainalu Nunes-Kay, of Hilo, and Brayden-Jay Kawai Ranchez, of Pepeekeo; parents, Trina and Stafford Chock, of Hilo, and Leilani and Boonie Ranchez,of Pepeekeo; grandparents, Mel and Lydia Tellio, of Hilo, Solomon and Lovey Chock, of Honolulu, Oahu, Maximo and Martina Ranchez and Caridad Villanueva, all of Pepeekeo; brother, Jared Tellio, of Hilo; sisters, Aaliyah Chock, of Hilo, Kimberly, of California, Kelliann, of Oahu, and Kaimana of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

JoAnn Mizuba

JoAnn Yukie Mizuba, 56, of Hilo, died July 18, 2017, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, she was a cook at Isles Café, rooster of the Hilo Jaycees, member of the Hawaii Association for Family &Community Education and Hilo Lions Club.

Private services held. The family requests that koden (monetary gifts) be omitted.

She is survived by father, Masashi Mizubam, of Hilo; brother, Michael (Tessie) Mizuba, of Honolulu; sister, Sharon (Tommy) Hirai, of Hilo; a niece; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Edward Clark

Edward Robert Clark, 56, of Pahoa, died July 11, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Denver, Colorado, he was the owner of the former Golden Vacuum Co.

He is survived by brother, Bill Clark, of Golden, Colorado; and hanai brother, Tom Swenarton, of Pahoa.
