Special solar eclipse viewing glasses are free for patrons at the Waimea library’s front desk, while supplies last. They will be useful for the upcoming solar eclipse on Aug. 21. Any classes or groups interested can contact the library to arrange for additional pairs. In Hawaii, approximately 25 percent of the eclipse will be visible.
Live video streams of the total solar eclipse, from multiple locations across the country, will be available that day at www.nasa.gov/eclipselive/.
