Waimea Emergency Preparedness Fair upcoming
As part of the FEMA Preparathon program, an Emergency Preparedness Fair will be held from 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 19 at Waimea’s Latter-Day Saints Church. The free community event will include government agencies, companies and individuals who will share ways to make households and individuals more prepared to survive a disaster.
Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, CERT members, Red Cross Disaster Services, Waimea Fire Department & Paramedics, Mauna Kea Beach Resort, North Hawaii Community Hospital, Civil Air Patrol Kona Composite Squadron, Six Eagles, Emergency Essentials, HELCO, Ready Store, Costco and Sunrun will have presentation tables. Workshops will also be offered, highlighting safety and supplies.
